This is what Kagame does to his own people
Dear President Putin,
I am writing to ask you to take a stand for humanity in Rwanda. I am appealing to you and and the Russian people for a Russian assisted regime-change in Rwanda because the Kagame government is a terrorist government that kills, tortures, imprisons, harrasses, and robs its own people on a daily basis. It is a murderous regime that massacres its own people.
Rwandans are hostages of their own government, they are not in the position to change the government by any peaceful means - neither through elections nor though protests because the election results are predetermined and the political space is closed while protests of dissent against the government are not allowed.
Rwandans are terrorised and traumatised with violence, mass killings, disappearances, arbitrary arrests, tortures, imprisonments, and assassinations.
The United States and its western allies are fully aware of what the Rwandan government led by Kagame does to its own people and yet they have continued to fund a government that murders the people it is purported to protect. I have written to President Obama numerous times asking for his intervention to no avail; I turn to you in the hope that you will decide to take a stand for humanity.
The decades long post colonial relationship between Africa and the West has been one of exploitation and subjugation. The west have been viewing Africa as simply a source of cheap if not free labour and raw materials. The aid money is nothing but corruption money used to bribe the what would be African leaders into operating as puppets working for the interests of the Western elite instead of the interest of their own people. This state of affairs must change. Rwandans as all Africans are a people who aspire for the dignity of self-determination.
Post regime-change in Rwanda, what we propose is a relationship of mutual benefit, a win-win relationship between Rwanda and its partners. What Rwanda and Africa in general need is an industrialised economy and those partners willing to assist with the industrialisation of Rwanda and Africa in general would be granted a fair share of the growth that would result for the services rendered. The result would be a triumph for all humanity.
I thank you for your favourable consideration
